Melly Lifshitz will possibly be joining the Jerusalem Marathon next year. This is one of Mel’s plans as part of his itinerary while visiting Israel with his family. The Jerusalem Marathon 2012 will be on March 16. Local and foreign participants are expected to join this huge running event.
The 2nd International Jerusalem Marathon is an event that should not be missed not only by physical fitness enthusiasts but also by those who love the historical past of the city. The marathon’s selected running tracks narrate the story of Jerusalem in the course of 3000 years of the city’s history.
Mel Lifshitz learns that next year’s marathon combines a challenge for the runners with splendid views and the typical culture of Jerusalem. Runners can choose from 3 tracks: 42 km (The complete marathon), 21 km (The half marathon), and the 10 km marathon.
Those runners in the 42 and 21 km tacks are guaranteed to enjoy an exceptional event in addition to the traditional pasta night. The starting line of the Jerusalem Marathon is on Ruppin Street, in front of the Knesset Israel. Click here to see full details of the route.
An EXPO fair will be held on March 13-15, 2012 to showcase various themes of sports and health. The exhibition will be displayed at the International Conventions Center, Binyaney Ha’uma. The municipality of Jerusalem takes full responsibility in the exhibit’s set-up and preparation as part of part of the city’s huge running event on the 16th.
